COMFORT...and God's PROMISES WILL CERTAINLY DO THAT...
But there is much MUCH MORE to God's PROMISES than comfort.
The Holy Spirit inspired Peter to point out to us something very special concerning God's PROMISES in 2nd Peter where he says,
"Whereby are given unto us EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES...
THAT BY THESE(GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES)
Ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE(of God)
Having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Did you miss all of that the first time you read 2nd Peter?
Boy, I sure did...
We can be PARTAKERS OF GOD'S DIVINE NATURE...simply by claiming his great and precious PROMISES...
Somebody hurry and get me the book containing all of his GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES so I can get started...
Does anybody know where I can get a copy of that Book with all of those PROMISES,
I have heard tell that there are 7,000 PROMISES in that Book!
Isn't that how it affects you? I sure hope so...
We are in for the time of our lives as we begin to dig into and boldly claim God's GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES...
HERE ARE A FEW GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES FOR CLAIMING TODAY!
God PROMISES us that when we...
Seek FIRST His Kingdom and His Righteousness...
That ALL of our material needs will be added to us!
God PROMISES us that:
He will keep us in PERFECT PEACE...
When our minds are stayed, fixed, focused on Him!
And to think that I never really grabbed hold of this
Great and Precious Promise until my precious wife of 63years
went home to be with JESUS on October 11, 2008.
But I want the whole world to know that when I did HE honored that Great and Precious Promise from the very
first moment and as I write these words on October 22, 2009
HE hasn't missed one moment of KEEPING me in HIS PERFECT PEACE.
God PROMISES us that:
He will not allow even one temptation to be so strong that we cannot successfully resist it!
If we lack wisdom...
and some of us do...
All we need do is ask Him and...
He PROMISES to give us all the wisdom we need!
And if we sin...
and some of us have been known to do that...
I recall reading somewhere that HE said ALL of us...
But if and when we do sin...
HE PROMISES us that:
When we confess our sin to Him that
He will FORGIVE us and cleanse us
from ALL unrighteousness!
God PROMISES us that when we resist the devil...
the devil WILL flee from us...
And when we draw near to Him (God)...
He (God) WILL draw near to us!
WE COULD USE UP THE WHOLE INTERNET
AND NEVER RUN OUT OF GOD'S PROMISES...
AND HE NEVER FORGETS EVEN ONE OF HIS PROMISES TO US...
EVEN THOUGH A THOUSAND GENERATIONS PASS!

Here is another truly great and wonderful PROMISE that recently rejoined my list of daily PROMISES being claimed.
It came to me as I was up over my head in a no holds barred spiritual battle...and here it is:
"They shall fight against thee;
But they shall not prevail against thee;
For I am with thee,"
Saith the Lord,
"TO DELIVER THEE."
And just who are these "THEY" that shall fight against thee?
We wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Yes, we are to LOVE and PRAY for the flesh and blood enemies who surround us remembering that this "THEY" are not our real enemies.
